About Me

My name is Jack Broadbent, 21 years old and an orphan… it sounds weird when I say it but, sadly, true.

I can’t remember when but it was winter (maybe 2005/2006) both my mum and dad were diagnosed with terminal cancer; breast and prostate respectively. We struggled on with a loosing battle for a few years but the inevitable happened in 2008 - they both died a few months apart.

From there I travelled around place to place, without really having a home for a few months. At the end of summer I ended up continuing my education in the Lake District, England by joining a boarding school.

My sisters went to live in with our legal guardian. I don’t like going there; it’s not my home. My home is wherever life takes me & where my friends are. Here in the now.

4 years have passed: I have finished school and I now live in Manchester studying for a degree in Biomedical Science. My sisters are still in the same place.
